To maximise customer support for glass container producers in Latin America, inspection solutions specialist Iris Inspection machines has established a technical after-sales operation in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

There are currently more than 20 Evolution inspection machines operating successfully throughout the region, and another 20 machines are scheduled for delivery during 2015.

According to Chief Executive Officer Jean Luc Logel, sales opportunities in Latin America are very encouraging, in line with the industry’s production capacity growth estimates.

“Quality expectations are becoming increasingly important, and the latest Evolution camera-based inspection equipment from Iris will contribute positively to plant efficiency improvements”, he stated.

A regional office has been created at Rua Manuel da Nobrega 354, Paraíso
Sao Paulo, specifically to provide installation services, customer training and on-line assistance/local service.

Spare parts are also stocked locally to simplify availability.

The operation is managed by Rodrigo Teixeira (pictured), an experienced Franco-Brazilian Technical Service Engineer, who was previously based at the Iris headquarters in France.

Fluent in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish, Rodrigo is devoted exclusively to the needs of Latin American customers.

Where appropriate, he can rely on members of the Iris engineering team in Bron, as well as the company’s specialist service engineer in Monterrey, Mexico.
