Stölzle Glass wins prestigious Worldstar Award

The Stölzle Glass Group has won a WorldStar Award in the category of ‘Beverage’ for its Isle of Harris gin bottle.

Members of the World Packaging Organisation (WPO), made up of representatives from 23 packaging associations, judged the 291 packaging projects from 35 countries that entered the WorldStar Awards 2017.

To be eligible to enter the WPO WorldStar Awards the packaging must have been a winner in a national or international competition that is recognised by WPO.

The bespoke Isle of Harris bottle was created by Stölzle Flaconnage, the British production site of the Stölzle Glass Group.

It is a customised product with a bespoke rippled design over the whole bottle, which reflects the nature of the island’s beautiful and rugged scenery.

A base surface turquoise spray is added to reflect the characteristics of the sea.

A slight indentation eases the serving of the gin.

In 2016 the Stölzle Glass Group won awards for the bottle at the UK’s Luxury Packaging Awards and the German Packaging Awards, as well as bronze at the Starpack Awards.

“We are proud to again be winners of several international packaging Awards with our great bottle The Isle of Harris Gin, which gained recognition due to its excellence in design and processing,” says Johannes Schick, CEO of the Stölzle Glass group.

“Stölzle has been investing very much in state-of- the-art-technology to boost production as well as decoration processes to set steps in innovation and product development, mainly in the field of Prestige Spirits, Perfumery and Cosmetics.

“Being awarded for our excellent bottles proves that our huge engagement definitely pays back,” explains Schick.

Stölzle has great expertise in both custom design and standard glass containers.

An Innovation Team, which also consists of designers, works closely with the clients, taking their beautiful concepts and producing outstanding products.

An exclusive touch of luxury can be added to all products in decoration.

Latest innovations include printing with special effect inks, metallisation, laser cutting, embossed lettering, and accessory application.

Stölzle Glass Group has six European production sites with three of them having in-house decoration facilities.

For many years now Stölzle has worked on its forward thinking investment plan to offer state of the art innovation in decoration allowing individualism and unique design results.
