Glass International Issue
January 2015

January 2015

Welcome to the January issue of Glass International - the magazine that provides the most editorial coverage of the glass manufacturing industry.

The magazine starts with a profile of Pochet Du Courval, which has recently upgraded its site in the Bresle Valley, France and an interview with its Managing Director Christian Durand. Next we have an exclusive interview with the Phoenix Award’s Chairperson Tim Park. The Phoenix Committee is due to meet in February to nominate the next winner of the award, and Mr Park gives an overview of the award and committee. In another exclusive, new Guardian Industries Flat Glass President Kevin Baird talks about how he has got to grips with the role since his appointment.
Ahead of the Glasspex exhibition in India, we provide an overview of the country’s container glass industry and outline the key players in the industry.

Our regular columnists John Parker of the ICG, Abividro, British Glass and Henderson Technology all contribute while our technical articles are supplied by Siemens, Zippe, UAS Messtechnik, Bucher Emhart Glass, Heye International, EME and Luben Glass.
Our Events World section includes a review of the glasstec opening event conference where some of the industry’s most senior executives gave their view on future trends in the industry. A review of the 75th Glass Problems conference and a look ahead to China Glass complete the magazine
