Glass International Issue
March 2015

March 2015

Welcome to the March issue of Glass International - the magazine with the largest reach in the glass manufacturing industry.

This month we have an interview with Karim Boussabah, Marketing Director of Verallia France, who discusses a few of Verallia’s latest developments including its revolutionary fluorescent glass.

We also have an interview with Mikko Aromaa, a glass chemist at Finland’s globally renowned Iittala. Sally Roberts went to visit its factory to learn more about the company’s latest investments and the techniques used to create its wide range of coloured glass.

This month’s issue focuses on recycling, and includes features on glass recycling initiatives from around the world including Holland and South Africa. We also take a look at Vitro, Mexico’s leading glass manufacturer, and find out about the company’s sustainability strategy and its recycling efforts throughout Mexico.

Other technical features discuss the issues of safety, plant performance and energy efficiency amongst other topics, while our events section has an overview of the Russian market ahead of the upcoming Mir Stekla exhibition – for which Glass International is the main media partner.

This is all accompanied by our regular History, British Glass and Technical Topics columns, as well as the usual round-up of the latest industry news.
