Welcome to the November 2014 issue of Glass International.

Our exclusive interviews this month are interviews with SGD and with Schott's Dr Hans-Joachim Konz.

SGD is in the process of constructing France's first glass manufacturing plant in 20 years. We spoke to Laurent Zuber, President of its Moulded Products group, about the company's expansion.

The Otto Schott's Research Center has celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. Dr Konz, who is Schott's Member of the Management Board responsible for Research, discusses how research is the driving force behind the company.

The Thai glass market is currently booming and we spoke with one industry veteran who, after relocating to the South-East Asian country, reaped the benecfits of the move.
