The 16th International Seminar on Furnace Design – Operation and Process Simulation, hosted by Glass Service (GS), will be held on 22-23 September 2021 at the Hotel Horal mountain resort in Velke Karlovice, Czech Republic.
In conjunction with the Seminar, on 21 September, the ICG Technical Committee 15 & 21 Meeting and the GS Glass Furnace Model (GFM) user meeting will also be held.
It will be open to all wanting to learn more about Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, hybrid melters including hydrogen optimised by CFD simulation.
The 2021 Seminar will focus on presentations that provide solutions to reduce CO2 emissions by 40% or more by the year 2030, following the Paris Climate agreement.
The event takes place every two years and brings together 150+ glass experts from around the world to discuss the use of simulation & control tools, with the goal of optimising the glass melting and forming process.
Participants wanting to submit an abstract can do so until 31 May 2021.
