16th International Seminar on Furnace Design postponed

A new date for the Glass Service-organised furnace seminar will be announced later this year.

A conference focused on furnaces in glass manufacturing has been postponed .

The 16^th International Seminar on Furnace Design – Operation and Process Simulation was scheduled for September 2021.

But the organiser, Glass Service (CZ) said: "It is with great regret that we inform you that we have to postpone this popular event due to the current pandemic situation.

"This decision was not easy for us because we would have loved to have you in beautiful and relaxing Hotel Horal mountain resort in Velke Karlovice, Czechia."

The event takes place every two years and brings together more than 150 glass experts from around the world to discuss the use of simulation and control tools, with the goal of optimising the glass melting and forming process.

A new date for the seminar will be announced in the second half of 2021.
