AGI Greenpac approved for glass packaging supplier acquisition

Indian glass producer AGI Greenpac has received approval for the proposed acquisition of Hindustan National Glass (HNG) & Industries Limited.

HNG is a key player in India’s container glass industry, with plants located in Rishra, Bahadurgarh, Rishikesh, Neemrana, Sinnar, Naidupeta and Puducherry.

The manufacturer’s client base extends over 23 countries.

AGI Greenpac received approval from the Honourable Competition Commission of India (CCI) for proposed acquisition through the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process.

The CCI gave its approval to the proposed combination under sub-section (1) of Section 31 of the Competition Act on March 15, 2023.

The detailed order of CCI is awaited.
