French tableware glass manufacturer Arc is set to restart four of its furnaces.
The Arques-based producer idled some of its furnaces in autumn last year due to the increase in energy prices.
A combination of the Ukraine war and ensuing energy crisis caused a colossal increase in prices.
At the time Arc said its gas prices had multiplied by 20.
The northern France facility operates nine furnaces and the company idled six of them, one of which, oven D, permanently stopped in January.
Arc employs 4800 people in France and recently restarted oven J.
The first plates from the oven produced and packaged, said its Director of Operations, Martin Debacker.
In the coming weeks furnaces H, N and P will all restart, he added.
