Heye International has seen a significant sales growth throughout the Asia-Pacific region, installing more than 40 production lines since 2012 in countries such as Australia, China, India, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
More than 70% of these installations now feature Narrow Neck Press and Blow (NNPB) forming process technology, which is increasingly adopted as an alternative to conventional blow-blow production methods.
This advanced equipment is helping customers to increase production speeds and save energy, while also improving returns on investment via the production of lighter containers.
The Asia-Pacific region has emerged as a key market for Heye IS-Machines and associated hot end equipment, including plungers, shears, ware handling systems, variables and parts, as well as advanced process control technology (pictured).
This year alone, at least eight new Heye NNPB lines will be commissioned, including one that features the latest Heye Swabbing Robot for the delivery of higher productivity and safety in the glass container forming process.
Substantial orders have also been received for Heye’s high performance HiSHIELD cold end inspection solutions.
To date, for example, more than 200 Smartline check inspection machines have been sold to the region’s leading glassmakers.
“The countries of Asia and the Pacific Rim are continuing to achieve substantial economic growth and are providing many successful business opportunities for Heye International” confirmed Gregory Lecat, Heye Representative for Asia and the Middle East.
