Astrahansteklo, a Russian glass packaging manufacturer, has announced the completion of the modernisation of its glass furnace at the Astrakhan glass factory, Russia. The cost of the refurbishment is estimated at approximately 160 million Rubles.

Governor Alexander Zhilkin says: “The new glass furnace can now increase the monthly output of 9-10 million glass products to 15 million.”

The Astrakhan glass factory is one of the oldest operating companies in the region and will celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2012.
