Sorg and EME invited guests to view their Batch3 system in operation.
The Batch3 system consists of three components – the IRD doghouse, batch preheater and the EME-NEND batch charger.
The benefits of these developments include lower energy consumption, lower CO2 emissions and high glass pull.
The three components have been in use for more than a year at Wiegand Glass in Steinbach am Wald, Germany where the tour took place.
The visitors came from countries including China, Korea, USA, Canada, Mexico, Morocco and Thailand.
The tour began with a presentation introducing the Batch3 system.
Afterwards the visitors split into four groups who visited different stations, accompanied by Sorg employees, who explained the technologies and answered detailed questions.
