Turkish newcomer, Bastürk Cam, has selected EME as an additional partner for its greenfield project.
The new factory will be built in Malatya, in the eastern part of Turkey and follows the news that Basturk had selected EME’s partner company, Sorg, to provide its furnace.
EME said it was honoured to be selected as partner in the project particularly as it is the first common greenfield project in Turkey for the Sorg Group.
The project covers a batch plant and cullet return system for 800 tpd implemented in two steps. Step one will begin with a 300 tpd furnace, followed by a 500 tpd furnace. The new container glass factory will go into operation in the second quarter of 2017.
