Finnish suppliers Beneq and Glaston have signed a strategic co-operation agreement to develop and deliver systems for the continuous production of transparent conductive oxide (TCO) coated glass for the solar industry.
Beneq has extensive experience in developing aerosol technologies for advanced thin film coatings, such as TCO, anti-reflective and low-E, while Glaston is a leading supplier of glass processing machines, providing state-of-the-art continuous flat glass heat treatment technology and high-quality glass for demanding solar applications.
Together, the two companies will bring TCO coating lines to the solar industry. Sampo Ahonen, Chief Executive Officer of Beneq, said: “This co-operation is a welcome addition to our offering in the growing solar segment.”
“The Beneq-Glaston concept integrates both technologies in a new innovative way within this fast-growing market segment,” added Arto Metsänen, Chief Executive Officer and President of Glaston Corporation.
