Ducatt has announced the production of a 2mm patterned solar glass.
According to the company, the key to this product is the tailor made production line. In 2011, the company invested in a glass furnace and integrated production facility, including a toughening furnace to allow it to produce thermally toughened glass as thin as 2mm, free of any residual waviness.
Roel Bollen, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ducatt said: “We are now able to produce ultra-clear toughened solar glass thinner than a 1 Euro coin, and we are convinced that this technological breakthrough will stimulate the development of innovative products aimed at harvesting solar energy.”
