Neil Simpson will host a five-day online training course on combustion methods and furnace optimisation.
The courses will run from 8:30-12:30 (GMT) each day beginning Monday Dec 6 and will be repeated the following week at the later time of 13:00-17:00 (GMT).
Course titles include: Basics of Combustion and Under-Port Burners in Glass Melting Furnaces, Furnace Pressure and Combustion Optimisation for Heat Transfer and NOx, Basics of In-Furnace Thermal Imaging and Oxy Fuel Combustion in Glass Melting.
Key areas the courses will address are:
- NOx reduction
- Energy utilisation and emissions legislation
- Troubleshooting and combustion optimisation processes
- Measuring thermal profiles
- Oxy combustion technology
- Verbal assessments of machinery
With over 20 published patent applications, Mr Simpson is an expert in the oxy fuel combustion of natural gas, propane, diesel, HFO and oxy hydrogen. Previously employed at the British Gas Company (BOC), Neil now works as an Independent Consultant at Simpson Combustion and Energy.
The cost per course varies from £250 to £295 plus VAT, although all five courses can be purchased for £1,100 plus VAT. A PDF of the slides and a digital certificate of attendance will also be provided.
