Forglass will unveil its latest decarbonisation solutions at Glasstec, including a new type of furnace yet to be revealed.

Forglass aims to support glass producers on the most direct path to decarbonise glass production.

At the previous Glasstec two years ago, Forglass introduced a new approach to designing a hybrid furnace with its Mixing Electrodes.

These accelerate and provide better control of the melting process, as well as allowing for a proportion of electric energy that can be optimally distributed in the melting tank.

Consequently, the technology allows furnace operators to convert their existing, gas-fired furnaces into hybrids with as much as 80% share of electric energy.

This year, Forglass will unveil its brand-new furnace “F.F.F.F.F.F” or “Forglass Furnace Fit For Fifty Five”.

This is still a secret that will be revealed at Glasstec 2024.

Forglass’ batch plant division has also developed efficient, compact batch plants capable of sorting and purifying cullet, then pre-heating it with what is essentially free heat.

Cullet is becoming increasingly critical in decarbonising glass production.

Forglass offers a number of solutions for sourcing and managing cullet in the most efficient way.

Glasstec offers a great opportunity to see these developments first-hand.

As before, the Forglass stand will feature a cinema where guests will see its decarbonisation solutions.

The company is encouraging those interested in the presentations to call their office at +48 517 252 006 to schedule a time for their visit to the Stand C-16 in Hall 13.

In the meantime, a preview of what will be shown is available via the video below:
