Catalina Tempering, based in Los Angeles, USA is expanding its glass toughening operations to Northern Iowa.
The Mason City Globe Gazette reported that the company has bought a former Winnebago Industries building in Hampton and plans to be in operation within a few months.
Executive Director Karen Mitchell of the Franklin County Development Association says Catalina expects to create 25 jobs at first, with more hiring as production increases.
The Hampton plant will produce toughened glass for commercial and residential uses.
