The two-day Glassman Europe exhibition and conference attracted hundreds of delegates from more than 40 countries. A total of 91 companies exhibited at the container and hollow glass event, held in Warsaw, Poland.
Visitors were truly global and include guests from host-country Poland, South Africa, USA and Guatemala. Companies represented included Owens-Illinois, Vitro, Ardagh and Warta Glass.
It was standing room only for Stoelzle Glass’ CEO Johannes Schick’s keynote presentation to open the Glassman Europe conference. He discussed Building a Glass Plant in Poland and the challenges faced in building a flagship production site there.
Further presentations included papers from Adeline Farrelly, Secretary General of the European Container Glass Federation (FEVE), Glass Global’s Hans Mahrenholtz and British Glass Environmental Director John Stockdale.
A full review of the event will appear in the June issue of Glass International magazine and the conference presentations will be made available on the Glassman Europe website in the next few weeks.
