GlassTrend is hosting two online events next week, the first looking at the academic side of glassmaking taking place on 21st September and the second on glass furnace emission reduction on 22nd September.

The ‘Academic Excellence on Glass Topics – A Bridge Towards Industry on 21st September will look to further initiate and support innovation towards new (sustainable) glass products and production technologies.

Five professors will share their lights on various aspects of glass production and glass related processes, including high-temperature melting (kinetic) behaviour, sustainable glass production, glass surface science.

They will also explain an approach for designing new glasses based on a mathematical optimization of composition-dependent glass property models.

The seminar on 22nd September discusses various experiences and technologies to reduce flue gas emissions.
