Glaston Corporation has released 20 of its staff after statutory employer-employee negotiations were concluded.

The majority were white-collar employees and as a principal rule the personnel reductions have commenced immediately.

The negoitiations were part of the Act of Co-Determination within Undertakings in Finland (YT negotiations) which started on 13 November 2012.

Based on the work load situation in 2013 Glaston Finland is also preparing to temporarily lay-off staff.

Glaston also has efficiency measures ongoing in other locations.

The largest adjustment measures are focused on Brazil, where negotiations on efficiency increasing actions will be completed in January 2013.

The adjustment programme save about €5 million per year, occuring in full by the end of 2013
