Indian float glass manufacturer Gold Plus has entered the solar glass market with a production facility in Karnataka, India.

The facility achieved commercial operation in June 2024.

The plant has increased Gold Plus’ float glass capacity and allowed the manufacturer to add solar glass to its portfolio.

The project’s total installed float glass manufacturing capacity is 584,000 tpa.

Its solar glass manufacturing capacity is 109,500 tpa.

Gold Plus also has a float glass capacity of 456,250 tpa at its Roorkee plant.

With the addition of the Karnataka facility, Gold Plus’ total installed float glass capacity now exceeds one million tons annually.
