French luxury glass bottles manufacturer Groupe Pochet plans to invest in an electric furnace at its Guimerville plant.

The furnace will be operational by the end of 2024 and is part of Groupe Pochet's global decarbonisation plan, which aims to reduce CO2 emissions by 50% by 2033.

"This electric furnace will be the very first French furnace dedicated to luxury bottles. It will enable us to drastically reduce our CO2 emissions by producing a largely carbon-free glass that will guarantee the beauty of tomorrow," said Benoit Marszalek, Pochet du Courval's Director of Operations.
