GTS to host introductory glass training course

Glass Technology Services will host an introductory training course online.

Glass Technology Services (GTS) will host an online training course on March 20^th, 2025.

The half-day course, called ‘Understanding Glass’, will be delivered via Microsoft Teams.

It is suitable for those new to working in the industry, and is designed to give delegates a broad understanding of glass as a material.

This includes raw materials, manufacture, processing, use, the properties of glass and its environmental impact.

The course is delivered in an interactive format by specialists in their respective fields.

Places are limited to facilitate a better learning experience and increase levels of participation.

GTS will also host a free open day event on March 26^th, 2025.

The event will take place at its site in Sheffield, UK, and focus on technology, sustainability and industry discussions.

It will also provide a tour of GTS’s facilities, including its large-scale research furnace.
