Two glass manufacturers have expressed interest in buying the troubled Holophane glassworks in northern France.
The glass company, which makes headlamps for the automotive industry, was placed in receivership late last year and its 240 employees facing an uncertain future.
Since then two companies have come forward with expressions of interest to acquire the Andelys, France based company.
The deadline to confirm expressions of interest has been extended until 6pm on April 28 to allow both the two companies and any other interested buyers more time to put their takeover submissions together.
A final decision on the takeover of the company will be made at the end of May by the Commercial Court of Evreux.
About 20 people are currently employed by the glass company working in a support role.
