A ‘Safety in the plant – Safety for consumers’ workshop proved to be popular event.
The workshop covered the topic of safety in glass plants, which has become an increasingly important subject in modern glass production facilities.
The event, organised by Heye International and Iris Inspection Machines, provided a variety of speakers talking about safety.
Speakers emphasised the benefits of the latest safety innovations on offer. This included protection of employees and equipment with a simultaneous increase of production yields.
This can be achieved by the application of the Industry 4.0 concept in the Heye SpeedLine IS-Machine in combination with the Heye Multilevel Safety Concept.
Speakers also discussed the latest in glass container inspection, with Heye highlighting the PlantPilot information management system and the non-contact features of its SmartLine series.
Iris Inspection Machines presented the latest advances in Evolution non-contact inspection systems.
About 30 people from six countries participated in the workshop and evening event held in Lyon, France prior to the Glassman Europe exhibition held on May 6 and 7.
