With a month until the closing date, British Glass is calling on the whole glass industry supply chain to win recognition for its achievements by entering their Glass Focus Awards 2017.
The annual event, organised and hosted by the UK glass manufacturing representative body, this year takes place on Thursday 15 June 2017.
The award ceremony and dinner will be held at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, at the centre of the UK’s east-west glass manufacturing corridor, where nine out of ten of the UK’s largest glass manufacturers have production sites.
The awards entries and winners will showcase the innovation and excellence in glass that underpin the industry’s contribution to the economy, to society and to customers, staff and stakeholders.
Everyone with a stake in glass is invited to be part of the Glass Focus Awards 2017, and once again British Glass expects to see entries from glass manufacturers, machinery and materials suppliers, recyclers, product designers and architects, brands and buyers and glass technologists.
The awards are open to British Glass members and non-members.
Entries should focus on work or initiatives taking place since last year’s awards closed, so between April 2016 and April 2017. The categories for this year’s awards are:
- Design of the year
- Innovative solution
- Health and safety action
- Sustainable practice
- Apprentice of the year
- Strengthening business through people
