Building materials company Huaguang Group has formally opened what is thought to be the first energy saving float glass production line in China.
The 550 ton per day Anhui Huaguang Glass Group plant underwent a reforming project, which was carried out with supporting units China Building Engineering and Bengbu Unit, using oxygen burning and waste heat generating methods to achieve significant energy savings.
The project will reportedly increase the facility’s daily melting capacity to 580 tons. In addition, the reformed manufacturing line will offer more qualified flat glass, as well as saving energy and reducing pollution levels.
