Saint-Gobain Glass Egypt has signed a memorandum of understanding with Alexandria University, one of the country’s historical institutions founded in 1938, to promote the study of glass.
The programme will see the formation of an Egyptian glass association with Alexandria University to be the academic sponsor and Saint-Gobain Glass the industrial partner.
The business will provide training to the faculty of engineering students as part of its social responsibility. It will also supply all types of glass required to carry out studies in the field of heat and light control aimed at reducing energy consumption.
Saint-Gobain aims to be more involved in developing façades in Egypt, to promote its energy-efficiency solutions in line with its strategy to ‘be the reference for sustainable habitat’.
