Manufacturing company Schott Gemtron plans to move one of its product lines from Madisonville to Vincennes, USA, a move that will affect approximately 70 people.
The Madisonville plant currently has 110 employees who make two products: Glass doors for commercial refrigerators, and metal components for residential refrigerators.
The Vincennes plant has 260 people who produce glass/ceramic cooktops for home appliances, and glass-and-metal shelving systems for residential refrigerators.
By March 2013, the company plans to move its glass door production from Madisonville to Vincennes. After the transition, 40 people will be left in Madisonville.
