SGD Group has appointed Jürgen Sackhoff as Chief Executive Officer of its Pharmacy business.
The appointment is a major step towards separation of the Pharmacy and Perfumery businesses, in order to create two strong and self-sufficient organizations.
Jürgen Sackhoff comes to SGD from Schott where, for the last seven years, he was Executive Vice President for the Global Pharmaceutical System business.
This segment, consisting of both the glass tubing as well as the conversion businesses, is the biggest business unit within Schott, with more than €650M in revenue, 21 production locations and more than 5000 employees worldwide.
Jürgen successfully grew this business through acquisitions in India, China and Argentina, and through start-up of a green-field operation in Russia.
Jürgen Sackhoff’s arrival highlights the commitment to continue to invest and grow the Pharmacy business, with the ambition of creating a global leader. Laurent Zuber is appointed President of the Molded Products entity, within the Pharmacy business.
