Finnish batch plant specialist Lahti Glass Technology reported a strong 2020 result despite the consequences of Covid-19.

The company saw an increase in requests for its engineering services in 2020 leading to Lahti being satisfied that the company could serve its clients in a challenging year.

It was also able to offer remote-commissioning services, online assistances throughout the year.

Lahti also works within float batch plants and one big facility in Latin America was successfully commissioned in 2020.

This commissioning was the 60th successful commissioning of a float batch plant for us in Lahti’s history.

"This surely makes us one of the two global market leaders in this technology" reports Jarmo Näppi, MD of the company.

“Our company has its origin in the weighing technology so in 2020 we also aimed to focus on our roots and for example further developed our weighing technology with the new Lahti Batch Controller (LBC), which enables easy replacement of obsolete instrumentation, like WB-951 / WB-950.

"So overall, despite the global health issue, we made the best out of it and thank also our customers for their loyalty and look forward to seeing each other soon again.”
