Tony Zhang has joined Sorg’s team in China to promote glass conditioning equipment for container glass, especially its successful 340S line of forehearths.
Sorg is already strong in technical glasses in China. These special glass customers are world class suppliers who demand the highest quality.
Sorg sees the same quality demands coming soon to container producers.
Their customers include global players who will be looking at high speed filling lines with lightweight bottles. China’s needs cannot be served with second tier technology.
Mr. Zhang will serve customers from multiple locations, including one at Sorg’s subsidiary Shanghai Precision in Shanghai.
He will also be working closely with its design team in Anyang, China. Tony has undergone training at Sorg’s main office in Germany to give him the technical details he needs to serve customers.
Sorg sees Tony as a perfect fit. He graduated from Shaanxi University of Science & Technology in 2006 and was awarded the Bachelor Degree of Engineer, majored in the speciality of Inorganic Nonmetallic Material Engineering in the College of Materials Science and Engineering.
Mr. Zhang has previously been employed for two large German glass manufacturers for eight years.
His last position was as Batch and Furnace Manager as well as technical leader, which gives him a solid background in glass factories and the German work culture. Sorg wishes Tony all the best.
