CR Laurence Co (CRL), a manufacturer and supplier to the glazing, architectural hardware, construction and automotive industries, has announced the purchase of the supply division of Vitrododi International Company of Italy.
Vitrododi’s activities in the glass industry span three generations, supplying machines and tools for glassmakers based primarily across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
The company is divided into two business units: Vitrododi Production and Vitrododi Supply. It is the supply business that CRL has acquired, along with the distribution rights to the entire Toyo product line, which Vitrododi itself began distributing in Europe in the 1980s.
“We will retain the Vitrododi name; it is highly respected, well-recognised and closely associated with the distribution of Toyo products,” said Simon Boocock, Managing Director of CRL Europe. “With this acquisition, CRL moves further into Europe and becomes a major force in the supply of glass cutting tools, cutting wheels and related technologies.”
