Mega Enterprise held its first annual two-day seminar in March, allowing the supplier to introduce its activities, products and services to the Middle East glass industry.
The first day of the seminar, which took place in Tehran, Iran, was dedicated to flat glass production. Sherif Shawi, Managing Director of Mega Enterprise, gave an overview of the company, which is based in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. He also introduced Mega Glass Industry Services Co as the company’s fully owned Tehran office, as well as other branches in Cairo, Egypt and affiliates in Tunisia, Lahore, Istanbul and Tokyo.
Silvano Moretti, Area Manager of Bottero Glass Technologies’ flat glass division, presented the supplier’s cutting and grinding CNC machines and Cool Temper Company provided an introduction of its high-quality toughening furnaces.
The second day, which focused on hollow glass, tableware and glass fibre, saw a presentation by the Area Manager of Bottero Glass Technologies’ hollow glass division, Giancarlo Castoldi on its latest products, including a universal backlash-free take-out arm.
The seminar also informed delegates about the range of products of the companies that Mega Enterprise represents, as well as the technical services it plans to offer its Iranian customers, including: Refractories for furnaces and forehearths; feeder expendables; thermocouples; complete batch plant and cullet recycling systems; decorating machines; and vacuum pumps.
