CPIV, the Standing Committee of the European Glass Industries, has announced that its Secretary General, Frédéric Van Houte, will leave the association at the end of November 2010 for a new challenge as Director General of a European industry association.

Mr Van Houte joined CPIV in 1996 as an advisor and was appointed Secretary General in 1998. He has also been heading the European Domestic Glass Committee (EDG) and the European Special Glass Assoication (ESGA).

“I would like to express my gratitude to all persons I have fruitfully worked with over so many years in this great industry,” said Mr Van Houte. “I will miss the glass industry very much,” he added.
