Glassmaker Vidrala will close one of its three furnaces at its factory in Laudio-Llodio, Álava, Spain, according to local media reports.
Cinco Dias said the company attributed high energy costs and a weakening of demand for the furnace closure.
About 80 people of the site’s 320 workers will be impacted, with departures through non-traumatic measures, such as incentivised voluntary resignations.
