Indian glassmaker Borosil has signed a contract with Lisec for a second tempering plant.
Borosil has operated an Lisec Aeroflat furnace since 2017 but the repid development of the market and increased demand for tempered glass encouraged Borosil to invest in the furnace.
Borosil commissioned an Aeroflat 12/714FT2 designed to tempering 2mm thin glass. According to Lisec, the speciality about the acquisition is that Lisec will drive the project forward together with the customer.
The project’s aim is to increase the output of glass elements per hour. The new plant should be put in operation at Borosil in March 2019.
Lisec Sales Director, Christian Krenn, said: “Borosil has once again opted for LiSEC. On the one hand they ensure that processes are the same and they don’t have to gain knowledge to operate a new plant.
"On the other hand, they rely on a supplier and partner who will accompany them long-term and hence confirm that they are satisfied with the so far delivered products and services”
The contract was signed between Mr Krenn and Borosil Vice Chairman Mr. Kharuka and Borosil Wholetime Director, Mr. Ramaswami at a trade show in Munich recently.
