Cam Merkezi receives environmental certification

Cam Merkezi received an ‘Environmentally Friendly Company’ certification.

Its production plants successfully passed the environmental controls regulated by the local authorities in September. The glass producer continues to improve its environmental awareness in its 44^th year in the glass industry.

Cam Merkezi collaborated with Carbon Trust, a UK for-mission company, to help them to contribute and benefit from a more sustainable future. This includes carbon reduction, resource efficiency strategies and commercialising low carbon technologies, in order to declare its carbon emission level.

Its brand, Yorglas, has also joined the Environmental Foot Print Project for Businesses. This project allows it to create awareness and make a state determination. It was found that the production of a 1m² satin glass released 2900 gr carbon.

Cam Merkezi will be exhibiting in Hall 10, booth 10D48, at glasstec in Düsseldorf, Germany.
