Flat glass trade association Glass for Europe has launched its new-look website.

The new website was launched yesterday during the annual meeting with national glass and glazing associations.

The new website is the last step in the change of visual identity of Glass for Europe, following the launch of the new logo in October last year.

The look-and-feel of the website was therefore developed using the new visual identity to mirror some of flat glass’ key characteristics such as transparency, cutting-edge design, modernity, etc.

Images and visuals were chosen to magnify flat glass in its applications and to link to the concepts of clean energy and sustainability, which are at the heart of the industry’s activities.

On the technical side, new IT systems support the website, which allows it to be more robust and versatile. It was developed to deliver content in a more organized way and to provide visitors easy access to all relevant information about the European flat glass industry.

The navigation sections and dropdown menus were simplified for an improved user-experience. Quick and easy access to policy papers and positions from Glass for Europe is ensured with clearly marked sections and filter possibilities named after EU policy areas.

The website is now ‘responsive’ so that content adapts to different screen sizes thus facilitating reading on smartphones and tablets.

Glass for Europe’s Secretary general, Bertrand Cazes, said: “We hope you appreciate this website and make it yours by sharing with us your feedback and impressions!”
