Polysolar has announced plans to build a full-scale production plant for its transparent photovoltaic (PV) glazing in the UK within the next two years.??

The company specialises in building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) and is looking for up to €6 million to reach its goal. Approximately €4 million is expected to come from the European Union (EU), which then needs to be match-funded with another €2 million from elsewhere.??

Hamish Watson, Polysolar’s Chief Executive Officer, says the company plans to source the balance from its two partners, Solvay and Pilkington, as well as outside investors.
