A video presented by three Spanish Verallia colleagues decodes the trends in Spanish wine packaging.

Elena Andía, Marketing and Communication Director, Ángel Hierro, Sales Director and David Rueda, Product Designer, highlight the models, colours and customisations thanks to special push-ups and engravings, finishes or even labels: all of which are illustrated by Verallia customer products.

To the traditional consumer profile can be added new enthusiasts, excited about the idea of tasting these products in innovatively designed bottles.

These consumers have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and are keen on living an experience. Each bottle has to decipher the history of the wine it contains.

Spanish wines export very well all around the world. In 2017, exports increased 8.9% and exceeded €3.186m according to the Spanish Wine Market Observatory.

Verallia Spain is a major stakeholder on its domestic market and has six glassmaking plants in the country.

These are at Azuqueca, Burgos, Montblanc, Zaragoza, Seville and Telde.

Its Zaragoza plant specialises in producing beer bottles, while the Azuqueca plant manufactures food jars. The Spanish plants also make bottles for the still and sparkling wine markets, as well as spirits and non-alcoholic beverages.
