Mexican manufacturer Vitro has been recognised for its social responsibility and sustainability efforts.

Under the VIII Latin American Meeting of Socially Responsible Companies, Vitro received the badge that accredits it as a Socially Responsible Company (ESR).

It is the eighth consecutive year in which the company has received the recognition by the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Cemefi).

Vitro’s CEO, Adrian Sada Cueva, said: "This achievement proves that the company works with socially responsible management, and part of our culture and business strategy that our operations work under high standards of ethics and respect environment.

“I appreciate all the efforts of our employees and their work allows the Vitro team to excel as leaders in social responsibility.”

Claudio del Valle Cabello, Director General of Administration and Finance added: “Vitro is a company with operations that are sustainable, economic, social and environmental. We have a business vision of respect that are integrated with community values ​​and environmental preservation.”

Vitro said the distinction was the result of efforts and actions that align to its sustainability model. This focuses on human attitude, integral competitiveness and the environment all under the framework of responsible corporate management.
