Zeledyne will close its Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA glass plant on Friday 5th August and lay off approximately 200 people unless a last-minute buyer rescues the factory.

The shut-down would end three years of struggles since the plant was purchased by Tulsa native Robert Price. The facility’s primary customers in the automotive and construction industries have suffered major setbacks during that time.

Employees of the 37 year-old plant are preparing for their final days of work while hoping that an investor will come forward.

“Production for our main customer will cease on Friday, and we will not have any work left,” said Zeledyne spokeswoman Della DiPietro.
