To gain an overview of glasstec before it opens, the ‘Trendcompass’ at www.glasstec-online.com will be live from the beginning of September.
It lists and bundles innovations in the following thematic fields: ‘Optimisation of process and product quality in glass manufacturing’; ‘Innovative technologies for thin-glass production’; ‘Innovative and smart glass for architecture, interiors and vehicles’; ‘Technical glass and special glass types as well as innovative thin glass (including fibre-optic applications)’; ‘Lightweight and tough hollow and packaging glass’; ‘New products for processing in the glazier trade’; and ‘Recycling of glass composites’.
Furthermore, the glasstec website will again feature the Industry Guide with group-specific overviews of the entire range of products shown by glasstec exhibitors.
The core target groups at this year’s glasstec will be ‘Mechanical Engineering’; ‘Manufacturing, Processing, Finishing’; ‘Crafts’; ‘Architecture and Construction’; ‘Windows and Façades’; and ‘Solar’.
There will be an extensive supporting programme presented at glasstec 2014 for these target groups, such as ‘glass technology live’ with its associated symposium, the ‘Crafts Center’, the ‘Autoglass Arena’ and the ‘glass art’ exhibition.
As well as this, the glasstec conference programme includes the ‘Architecture Congress’, the scientific conference on ‘engineered transparency’ and the ‘Solar meets Glass’ conference.
From 21 to 24 October glasstec will host approximately 1,150 companies from roughly 50 countries.
Using the online Trendcompass and Industry Guide in combination with the exhibitor database featured under ‘Companies and Products’, it is possible to prepare a comprehensive and targeted visit to glasstec 2014.
