AGC Glass Europe and Interpane have started their alliance in the glass business.
The partnership was originally announced in December 2011 and has been cleared under the Merger Regulation by the EU Commission.
The two companies are both float glass producers and have complementary processing activities.
Through Interpane, AGC gains an industrial presence mainly in the German flat glass market, and expects to increase its range of coated products.
Interpane will benefit from the extended network and industrial presence of AGC in Europe as it searches for new markets.
