AGC to integrate plant operations

From 1^st May 2013, Asahi Glass Company (AGC) will integrate operations at its Kansai plant and Takasago plant, Japan.

Both located in the Kansai area, the plants have operated separately for the manufacturing of glass substrates for display devices, speciality glass for display applications and other display glass.

Following the organisational integration, the unified plant will be called the “Kansai Plant,” and the current Kansai Plant and Takasago Plant will become the “Kansai Plant (Amagasaki Factory)” and the “Kansai Plant (Takasago Factory)” respectively.
