Anchor Glass plans to close its Jacksonville, Florida facility with 144 jobs impacted.
The glass manufacturer submitted an official notice with the Florida state informing it of the decision.
The closure will take place by February 2025.
Anchor Glass CEO Nipesh Shah said: "Our current assets required capital infusion to operate in a safe and reliable manner and we did not have a business justification to support the investments.
"We are investing in furnace building at our Henryetta, Oklahoma facility."
Jacksonville is one of six bottle-making plants operated nationwide by Anchor Glass.
Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, it has plants in Georgia, Oklahoma, Indiana, New York and Minnesota.
The Jacksonville facility is the only glass production site in Florida.
