The April 2022 issue focuses on forming, sustainability and digital glassmaking.

This issue’s main focus is forming. Grupo Modelo recently installed additional Pneumofore vacuum pumps at its Mexican plant. Sklostroj unveils its latest IS machine, type ISS, and Novaxion discusses its recent changes in partnership with the Rondot group.

We also look at sustainability through the ZeroCO2Glas project and a return to The International Year of Glass. Jess Mills spoke with IYOG participant Dr Courtney Calahoo on what we could learn from Indigenous glassmaking, while Greg Morris attended the Glass Futures’ industry lunch at the House of Lords.

Elsewhere, we examine the container glass industry in Vietnam and explore digital glassmaking. Heye International discusses its use of artificial intelligence in glass manufacturing and Stoelzle reveals its high-speed, automated spraying line.
