Glass tableware manufacturer Arc has appointed Michael A. Richards as CEO of its Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
Mr Richards was appointed to the role in December and succeeded Nicolas Ajacques.
With almost 30 years of experience in business management, Michael most recently served as Vice President – Sales & Manufacturing Asia Pacific for Husqvarna Group, a producer of outdoor power products for forest, park and garden care.
He spent a total of 13 years in roles of increasing responsibility with Husqvarna, including 7 years based in Shanghai. Prior to Husqvarna, Michael was Plant Manager with Modine Manufacturing Company and Engineered Machined Products.
“At a time when Arc is repositioning itself to support the next phase of its growth in the APAC region, Michael’s comprehensive industrial experience and his knowledge of the APAC market will be a great addition to our team”, said Nicholas Hodler, Arc Group CEO.
With annual gross revenues over $100 million and over 1,000 employees, APAC is a key region for Arc and represents about 11% of Group turnover.
